Day 1 of swimming lessons and ..... we LOVED it! Ben just loves Mrs. Laurie (who happens to have a daughter that he went to Lawrence Drive with back in 2k. Truth be told, I had no idea but our family apparently is memorable :) Who would have ever thought that about Ben :) Here he is just starting his lesson. (Mommy's wait inside her home, but her laundry room faces the pool with a window so we could stand and peak in.)
Diving board fun. He must have jumped off 10 times or more! And you know Ben, didn't slow down to take a breath or anything. Just get up and go :) One thing that tickled me was when I did go out (she wanted Bea to watch a few minutes of Ben's lesson so that she wouldn't be so timid) she told him as he got out the pool to use his windshield wipers :) At that point, she didn't even know how fixated he is with cars, heavy machinery, etc. I told her how much he loved those things (you know, like pumping up our tires, drinking water for our radiators, pointing out and in detail explaining every. single, piece. EVER of construction equipent. Then she figured out better ways to get him to understand. For example, instead of telling him to swim with big arms instead of doggy paddling, she told him to have monster truck arms and to swim with his hands like a digger. Fabulous!
All smiles!
This is the only good picture I got of Bea today. She wasn't ready to jump off the board so it was harder to get good shots from the part of the pool she was in. I was so proud though! Not a single bit of crying or drama!! Can you believe it!!!! She even SWAM! Woo hoo! No more floaties girlfriend :)

I was so pleased with Mrs. Laurie. The kids are super excited about finishing out the week.

Lis has been a hot mess today! Climbing into, onto, and over anything she finds. At Momma's she was getting into those little chairs and constantly standing up and trying to crawl over them or onto the table. I can't tell you how many times I pulled her down. I even had to swat her hand several times, I popped her tooshie, and put her in time out. That stubborn girl would just go right back! She was keeping me on my toes. She didn't want to go to sleep tonight so after rocking her for a bit, I decided to just lay her down and kiss her and I haven't heard a peep since.
Missing you lots hunny! But praising God for this amazing opportunity for you.
P.S. - now, next time the church hosts another Israel trip, I'm hopping on board :)
P.P.S.- The baby has had tons of hiccups this week. Benjamin was the only baby to have hiccups in my tummy. Wonder if its a boy?? :)
All my love-
