We had a MUCH better day today! The Lord hears and answers our prayers...
and I am thankful!
The princess waiting for her turn to swim. She always begs for Ben to go first. I tried to get her to be first today so she'd have a little extra time to play in the water but that was a quick no!
Benjamin did great today. Mrs. Laurie is working on getting him to keep his legs together more for kicking and not be so willy nilly. He swam across her pool more times than I could keep track of.
Go Bubba! Hunny, its so neat to watch them swim. Their swim style is very much like their personality! Ben is the go-getter, more "active", and more daring. Bea is so graceful. It almost looks like a sweet soft song when she swims. Her kicks are so light and easy, barely splashing the water and her hair floats delicately on top. So funny how different they are! It made me sit and wonder what Lis' swim style will be? Crazy! :)

Bea had a really tough time today. Poor thing, did NOT want to jump in, but she would do it every time she was told to...now, granted she was literally screaming and crying all the way but she obeyed. Mrs. Laurie was firm but sweet with her. Cheering her on and encouraging her the whole way.
Mrs. Laurie acually had one of her friends next door come over so that there would be one to "help" her jump into the pool and Mrs. Laurie waiting to get her the whole time. I was a proud Momma when Mrs. Melinda came in the house to tell me "I can tell she is made to mind. Now, she doesn't want to be jumping in but when I tell her to hit it, she gets right out the pool and jumps in just like we tell her to." She must have said three or so times how nice it was to have a swimmer that was "made to mind". Ahhhh, thanks!
P.S. - Here is a small snip it of Bea swimming. I'm going to get a longer one tomorrow. I didn't want to stay outside for her lesson too long today since it was the "traumatic" day :)
P.P.S.- Ben did GREAT at therapy today. He ate SIX pieces of corn and gagged minimally. She used a new tool on his palate...some sort of tongue groovy thing. Kind of looked like one of those stick things in a honey jar. She put the sensory powder on it and then rubbed it on his tongue. They worked on the "th" and "sh" sound too.

Here's the monkey. She was much better today. Not near as mischevious. Thank heavens. She has been saying Dada? Dada! allllllll day today. So cute! Her little legs are getting better about toddling around.
Love you sweetheart!
