Sweet Summertime Saturdays

We have had a fun morning, a laid back afternoon, and quite the trying evening around these parts today. I'll show you all the good parts :) What better way to start the morning than with a delicious breakfast made with the princess. Pancakes! Ben said he would only eat "the boxed" (Eggos Mini) ones first, but I convinced him these would be delicious. He tried, he loved, he's hooked! But he has decided he thinks the mini's are still okay, but Mommy's gigantic ones are awesome! Lissy ate TWO! That girl eats like a man! (or a pregnant mommy :)
While I was putting Lis down for her morning nap, the kids watched a cartoon. And Bea set out her daycare. I love how Mr. Time Out Puppy made the cut too.

And what day would be complete without a busted lip. Don't ask. Let's just say, Legos were involved and both parties were at equal fault.

Then, Ben decided he'd like to invite Mimi over for lunch today and he was cooking. What was on his menu? (His idea by the way.) SPAGHETTI! and breadsticks. Here he is learning how to use Pam. He wasn't quite getting it until I told him to pretend it was spray paint and give the cookie sheet a good paint job. Then, presto chango, my sheet was perfectly greased.

Arranging the breadsticks. In true engineering fashion, he contemplated for about 5 minutes the best method for putting them on the sheet. Sounds just like a Long. Who knows the best way to the mall? Don't ask cuz you're going to get 15 different answers and by the time you decide, you could have already been in shopping :) Least he gets it honest :)

Lissy has stuck on my hip all...and I do mean ALL...day today. I gave her half formula and a bit of milk this morning and she did great. At afternoon nap, I gave her all milk, and she GULPED it down! Loved it! Didn't seem to have any tummy problems either. I didn't want to push my luck at bedtime, so I gave her the safe bet, formula. Nurse Hannah said it was fine to start milk and it looks like we may be formula free very very soon! hooray! My grocery envelope will LOVE to hear that :)
My feet are swollen but after the cup of coffee I just drank, I'm ready to finish up chores so off I go. Love you soo soo much! I can not WAIT another minute for you to get home. Can't wait to see all the pictures, hear all the stories, and give you a great big smooch!
