You were baptized on Sunday, July 11, 2010. I'm not certain I can put into words the incredible amount of joy that overflowed my heart. It had to be one of the most prescious moments in my life. Ever since you asked Jesus to be your savior (May 22nd), you have been asking, and asking, and asking, and asking :) to be baptized. You wanted to follow after Jesus and show everyone that you "are a Christian now!". When Sunday came, you were ecstatic! Daddy said when he took you to the baptistry, you kept trying to "cut" in line so that you could be the first boy. I guess this was just a patience-is-a-virtue life lesson for you. Standing on that stool, you proudly answered Pastor Smith when he asked you if you if you had accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. (Pastor also said "This is Benjamin Long and he's not a bit shy." Should we tell him that is a gross understatement? :) Benjamin, you make me so proud. You are in love with your Jesus. I makes me smile to see you empty your money jar to "give money to your Lord". You can't get enough bible stories at night and in the car you sing so sweetly to your favorite songs. Don't lose your fire son. Burn your candle bright in this dark world. Share Jesus with everyone you meet. Be bold in your faith. Stand firm in your convictions. One day, you will be a strong, faithful man of God. And I'll still be smiling.
